Job Overview

Develops qualified business opportunities and helps convert customer inquiries into clearly defined custom-build, modification, service, and performance projects. Manages consultations, project qualification, preliminary scope development, estimating coordination, proposals, and sales-pipeline management, while representing the brand at shows and events.

  • Responsibilities

      • Respond to qualified inquiries and lead consultative discussions about custom builds, modifications, service, performance, transport, and related needs.

      • Evaluate customer goals, vehicle condition, budget, timing, expectations, decision process, and project fit.

      • Coordinate preliminary scope, technical input, estimates, schedules, assumptions, exclusions, selections, and proposal development.

      • Maintain an organized CRM pipeline, follow-up schedule, opportunity status, forecasting, and sales documentation.

      • Develop relationships with collectors, enthusiasts, businesses, fleets, vendors, builders, clubs, events, and strategic partners.

      • Represent 1776 Customs professionally at consultations, facility tours, trade shows, car shows, community events, and industry meetings.

      • Coordinate handoff of approved work to project management, service, accounting, parts, and production personnel.

      • Support market feedback, pricing strategy, customer experience, repeat business, and referral development.

    Requirements

      • Consultative sales, business development, estimating, custom automotive, luxury goods, specialty manufacturing, or project-based service experience.

      • Strong automotive interest and enough technical understanding to qualify opportunities without overstating scope, cost, or capability.

      • Excellent relationship building, listening, presentation, writing, negotiation, and follow-up skills.

      • Ability to discuss budgets, schedules, assumptions, changes, and expectations professionally with discerning customers.

      • Experience with CRM systems, pipeline management, proposals, estimates, forecasting, email, and presentation tools.

      • Strong organization, integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential customer, vehicle, and financial information.

      • Ability to travel and attend occasional evening or weekend automotive and community events.

      • Valid driver’s license and professional driving record.
