Job Overview

Serves as the primary customer contact for maintenance, repair, diagnostics, performance upgrades, and smaller modification projects. Helps customers understand recommended work, estimates, schedules, approvals, progress, and final invoices.

  • Responsibilities

      • Welcome customers, document concerns, gather vehicle history, inspect visible condition, and prepare accurate repair orders.

      • Coordinate initial diagnosis, labor operations, parts pricing, estimates, approvals, scheduling, and promised completion dates.

      • Explain technical recommendations, priorities, costs, changes, delays, and completed work in clear customer-focused language.

      • Maintain timely customer updates and complete records of approvals, declined work, changes, and communication.

      • Coordinate work status with technicians, the Service Manager, parts staff, quality control, and outside vendors.

      • Review invoices and completed work for accuracy before delivery and assist with payment, documentation, and follow-up.

      • Support warranty concerns, customer-care issues, maintenance reminders, and future service opportunities.

      • Maintain accurate CRM, appointment, vehicle, estimate, and customer records.

    Requirements

      • Automotive service advising, estimating, customer-service, repair-order, or related industry experience.

      • Sufficient automotive knowledge to understand customer concerns, technician findings, repair priorities, and common parts and labor operations.

      • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening, organization, follow-through, and customer-service skills.

      • Ability to handle several active customers and vehicles while maintaining accurate details and commitments.

      • Comfort preparing estimates, reviewing invoices, explaining changes, and obtaining documented approvals.

      • Proficiency with shop-management, CRM, scheduling, email, document, and basic spreadsheet tools.

      • Professional judgment when handling high-value vehicles, confidential information, complaints, and schedule changes.

      • Valid driver’s license preferred.
