Upholstery and Interior Trim Technician

Develop patterns and fabricate upholstery components using leather, vinyl, fabric, foam, carpet, backing materials, and trim products.

Rebuild, shape, cover, and install seats, cushions, bolsters, headrests, and related components.

Fabricate and install headliners, carpets, door panels, kick panels, package trays, consoles, dashboards, and interior trim.

Install sound control, thermal insulation, moisture barriers, fasteners, clips, seals, and finishing details.

Coordinate interior design, colors, materials, stitching, hardware, electronics, HVAC outlets, and fitment with the project team.

Operate sewing machines, foam tools, cutting equipment, adhesives, steamers, and specialty upholstery tools safely.

Protect finished surfaces and maintain clean, consistent workmanship throughout final installation.

Support final inspection, correction of fit and finish concerns, and customer delivery preparation.

Automotive, marine, aviation, furniture, or specialty upholstery and trim experience with transferable custom-work skills.

Ability to develop patterns and work with leather, vinyl, fabric, foam, carpet, adhesives, and backing materials.

Proficiency with industrial sewing machines and common upholstery, cutting, shaping, fastening, and installation tools.

Strong eye for proportion, symmetry, stitching, material grain, comfort, fit, and show-quality finish.

Ability to coordinate around wiring, audio, HVAC, controls, glass, weatherstripping, and custom-fabricated interior components.

Excellent cleanliness, organization, material-care, and vehicle-protection habits.

Ability to interpret renderings, sketches, measurements, templates, and customer selections.

A portfolio or examples of completed upholstery and interior work may be requested.

Dedicated interior trim shop space with commercial equipment.

Complete creative involvement on bespoke interior builds.
